COVID-19: WASSCA Distributes Pressure Sprayers Among School Heads

The Water and Sanitation Services Company of Abbottabad (WSSCA) on Thursday distributed pressure sprayers for hand-sanitation among the heads of private schools. In this regard, a ceremony was held at Islamia Modern School which was attended by District Education Officer (DEO) Abbottabad Shaukat Khan, Principal Modernage Abdul Wahid Mir, President Private Educational Institutions Management Association Saeed Swati and others. It is noteworthy to mention here that Mr. Abdul Wahid Mir is also a member of the Board of Directors of WASSCA who has chalked out a plan to ensure the provision of safe drinking water to the citizens of Abbottabad. The distribution of pressure sprayers is part of the WASSCA’s project to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in schools.
While addressing the ceremony, DEO Abbottabad Shaukat Khan said that WASSCA was taking commendable initiatives for the prevention of the pandemic in the district. Mr. Shaukat was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
In his address, Abdul Wahid Mir was of the view that facilitating the schools having low monthly budget, was the top priority of WASSCA, adding that he, along with the BOD members, were planning to provide the facility of safe drinking water to the students in different schools and colleges.
The speakers also included Saeed Swati [President PEIMA], Irfan Talib [Principal Present Times School], Col. (R) Mushtaq Ahmad [Principal Al-Imtiaz Academy] Shehryar Mir and Khaliqdad Khan Jadoon.
